So I had been watching this auction. I think I overpaid but I love clashed coins . He had 17 of them total but I am not sure how many more there are out there or will be. He had been raising his prices with each auction . I tried to talk him down some but no luck haha. I paid 349.00 which I was hoping for 250-270 I know there is a clashed 2016 and 2017 Anyways glad to have found something like this and I hope it will stay rare and tens of thousands do not pop up. First I have seen though. Curious everyones thoughts

I think that is very cool. I also love clashed coins and bullion clashes are rare.

That's pretty cool. Currently I still need to fill in a lot of gaps from the 80s and 90s in my ASE collection but once those are filled examples such as this hold some high appeal. Thanks for sharing!

Count me in on the "really cool" train. I cant imagine there are too many examples of these out there. If I had the opportunity to buy it for $350 I probably would without doing more research

That is perhaps the most interesting coin error I've heard of as a new guy. I'm surprised this isn't caught with automated visual q/a via camera and software analysis.

With the rate they crank out some of the newer ones you would expect to see these more often but this must be the first time most of us (including myself) have seen one of these. Sick find!

cool! I'm a fan of clashing, seems kind of rare to find a clashed ASE.

Very nice error! It's hard to find major errors on Silver Eagles. I would love to have one with this strong of a clash. I have a pair of Silver Eagles that have a large strike through on the obverse, but no other ASE errors.

they listed the next one at 399 and it sold the same morning. I think it will hold its value pretty good and if few are found I may of gotten a bargin

Clashes are rare for ASE, you pay a fair price for this one. Nice pick up.
