1969 S Penny - Possible Repunched Mint Mark / RPM ?

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 09/10/2021 7:23 pm If you look at the top of the date devices, you will see the same thing. When the mintmark and the date shows the same thing, it is Machine Doubling, not a DDO and a RPM. Why? Because the dies are created first, then the mintmarks are added to the dies in a separate step. (until 1989) So when the date and mintmark are affected the same, it is Machine Doubling, not a doubled die and RPM, just a loose machine. Report this Post to the Staff
