@pure, first welcome to CCF. Second I can make out what sure does look like the letter Y on Abe's cheek, but can't tell from your pics if this is raised above or inset into the surface of the coin. Are there any more letters?

If possible, posting new large and sharp images would help. Existing photos are low resolution and pixelated.

ijn hit on exactly why we say, please, no screen shots. They are of no use to us, sorry. Try using you phone's camera directly, zooming in to details. to the CCF,

I agree - much better pics needed. We have to be able to see what you see in hand.

do you have any tips on how I can get my pictures to be more clearly defined I have a macro lens but it does not seem very good what should I do? Thanks for the welcoming. also it's hard to tell if the letters go in or out it seems in on one side of the face and then out on the other at bottom of the building and around the CENT but due to the stuff that green stuff on that side I think I must buy something more microscope rather than magnifying. I am most likely ill-equipped with the tech I have to examine these coins, is there a way I can use the light when photographing coin or something that optimizes the clarity?

Quote: this is for merclover I am using my brand new phones camera I don't take screenshots I have to use my android phone for my photos as well. If you click on the links in my signature, you willl see how they come out. But that being said, I will have an indirect lighting at about K10 (10 O-clock on a clock), then I'll use my phone and zoom in to 3 or 4 times magnification and hold the phone at a distance to fill the screen. After that, I download the image to my computer to 'crop' the image so the photo edges are at the edge of the coin. (simple) It may take you a few try and a little experimenting to get it right.

Your first photo is pixelated. You only get that if it's a screen shot, or you start with an image that is way too small and in your blowing them up, enlarging them, their structure doesn't hold up. Either way the photos are unusable to us to see details. Keep practicing!
