Ok so I have a half disme that was over struck a few times so it's ugly but it's also a coin I can't find information on. As I stated it's a 1792 half disme struck on copper but it doesn't have plain or reeder edge instead it has a lettered edge reading
" Twenty half disme for one dollar" so if anyone could point me in the direction of say a Judd number it would be grateful. Sorry My computer was victim to my wife's soda and my brothers shepherd so I can't post pics at this time

There is only a single known 1792 half disme pattern struck on copper, so my guess is you don't have one. But obviously, we'd need pictures.

Once you get your computer back up and running, it will be interesting to see what you have there.

The fact that it has edge lettering is to me a good sign that it is a copy because a real half dime would be too thin for lettering to be applied so it could be read. There was a reason the mint didn't put edge lettering on anything thinner than the early Half Cents, and why the lettering was dropped when the weight of the cent was reduced in 1795.

This coin is worth several hundred thousand dollars if it is real. Obviously we need to see it.
