I have a 2021 p nickel and it has a ring around the back building. None of my other nickels have this. Is this normal?

Most likely what the hobby sometimes calls the "ring of death." A scar from a coin rolling machine.

But we definitely need pictures to tell for sure.

Agree with the above. Pics--full and sharp--would be fun to see.

Click => Rolling Machine Damage

That's the one!

I tried Wrapping Machine. Wrap Machine, Coin Wrapper Damage and about 20 other 'Wraps' trying to get the hyperlink to show up on a reply I wanted to post!

I finally just gave up and deleted my comment. I even went to the glossary and nosed around for a while, but I never looked for 'Rolling.'

Thanks bobby! I'll remember this for next time!

I believe that I have a nickel just like this. It is also a 2021 P nickel with a ring around the back building. Here is a picture of it:
