It could be a thin planchet or perhaps a tapered planchet, but LPS still looks more likely to me because of the poorly formed rims on half of each side of the coin (almost gone from K4 to K10) and the similarity in the weakness on both sides.

That is entirely dependent on the amount of pressure applied in a low pressure strike. Your Ike example is an extremely low pressure strike, thus almost no devices came through.
