OK, so, a while back I was one coin short of finishing my dads old IHC Whitman. The 09S. Then my back and knee got to the point I absolutely could no longer work. I had to quit, file for disability and rely on my FD retirement. Well, with the wonderful economy, I was left with maybe 200 a month after paying bills. That would have to cover gas, food, anything I wanted to do besides sit in my house. So yeah, that wasnt gonna cut it. So I spent the last almost two years having to sell of a large chunk of my collection. Now, they finally settled and agreed my skills dont translate to sedentary work. Yeah, because firefighting from a chair would work, right? LOL Anyway, I immediately started buying back stuff I had to sell. I am addressing my penny albums first. And today, I finished off the Whitman. :) There are a few I need to upgrade, but its complete. Well, not the 56 FE. LOL If I hit the lottery... And yes, I absolutely would break it out to go in the album. And honestly, why did they include the 69 over 68? That one isn't likely to get filled either. Quote: Its depressing how much I had to sell. *sigh* I guess the upshot is enjoying the process of filling holes again. Of course, that would feel much better if you were building a second set and not starting over. The best news is you have survived to tell your tale! We are here to support you as you rebuild.
