Ive taken a step back on posting my collection on here but I still I try to comment as much as I can! This is an easy coin to post so here it is. I'm working on a set of these. I've got the 56,59, several 62 and two 64s. Thanks for looking!

That 1964 is a Type B REV - it has a premium over a type A REV

Yes Earl it is, I do not mention because I will start to be again nervous. All those Type B from 1956 till 1964 are really underprices. We see a common cent variety in thousands and thousands with prices 10x that those varieties all under 2000 pcs in this case and others under 500.
Will, not only the PCGS also ANACS do not give easy an 66 to the business strike. I can show here many examples of all the series, and almost perfect ones come back 65. Before was "Long life to the king" today it is "Long life to eBay, Etsy speculators?!!!LOL" All this I think is because we analyze the coins not by the period produced but by global. The most stupid thing I can concept myself. How you want an 1880 coin, an 1964 coin to be same with the modern era strike after 2000? Only idiots and stupids unliterated could look at those coins as same.

Nice one I have three of them currently, the 2nd rarest the 1962 I found at a flea market last year in a small baggie of 3 silver quarters for 5 dollars each, the 1963 in a dealers junk box of quarters, and the 1964 amongst my own collection unknown until I looked! There was a very good article written about these several years ago by a Richard Appel on August 10th, 2018 for coinweek.com

Thanks for the comments guys and sil the last three anacs coins I broke out and sent to PCGS all went up a grade. I now look for anacs coins that command a much higher premium in one grade higher.

Here it is the TOP of the TYPE B quarters as per First of March 2023: I do not have the data from ICG. I want to mention that only one Die was use for each of the years.
1. 1956 381 2. 1962 525 3. 1961 611 4. 1964 673 5. 1957 979 6. 1963 1458 7. 1958 1513 8. 1960 1786 9. 1959 1958
Hope help you and ALL.

Nice find, but I'm confused about the title of this topic as you call it a proof, but NGC gave it a 'MS' grade of a business strike. Do you think it is a proof of just a typo?

No Dear, on the period 1956 and 1964, the Mint in Phil at the end of the production they use Dies from Proof strikes. So you will have a normal Observe Die and an Reverse Proof Die. This kind of reverse Die you find in RDV-002 and RDV-008. To see them is the easier thing on quarters: The Leaf near the Arrows tips is Higher.

I don't know much about grading quarters, but I picked this 1947-S/S FS-501 in Baltimore today and while the holder is NGC MS66, the coin just looks like a 64 with a lot of nicks and scuffs on it. This is just a quick phone pic as I'm too whooped to do anything else right now, but lots of surface trouble would probably be more visible with a better image.

I have no idea how the OP coin grades MS66 - it looks corroded to my eye.
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.artToo many hobbies .... too much work .... not enough time.

It is a different standard in grading. From my experience the NGC "old soap box"holders can go up a grade when submitted to PCGS, with the exception of Lincoln's. most Lincoln's I've seen in an old NGC holder have a dark red tone almost brown. I blame the material in the holders.
