Excellent! Except about the son dying. Death is never a good thing.

Good to hear. Another big reason to have valuable coins and notes graded.

This story really angers me. Reading between the lines it seems the jewelry store probably new they were stolen. They chose the money over alerting the authorities. They have culpability in selling the stolen goods. That's my 2 cents worth. Bill

Grrrrrrr!
Note: I've tried to post NCIC Crime Information recently on CCF but, there's some sort of error that won't allow me to post them. Has some new security software been added?

Excellent To SEE and Hear. I through a P O Box had Many Destroyed, Re-taped Unlike the Fulfillment Center's Tape, Stolen or Gone Missing Coins and Sets., Missing Coins in the LESPS, Gone. Many Lost Numerous items mailed Directly from the Fulfillment Center, After losing Many Many Packages, I too contacted the Post Master General. We discussed the topic and Was Re Contacted by the PMG and was told, An Investigation is under way.... That was Over 2 years ago, To date, NOT A Coin Found . I Always thought that the Replacement of Our Very Friendly Postal Carrier was ODD here. Love seeing Collectors that Do Trust the system, Prevail..... PS, Debbie, I was Thinking of posting the Information for the Fraud and Theft Site Too,

"We experienced more than $400,000 in lost or stolen coin shipments over the course of a year. When challenged, local post office representatives repeatedly assured us the packages were being stolen after they left their distribution facility here. However, the thefts were happening at the local post office," said Michael Fuljenz, President of Universal Coin & Bullion in Beaumont. Post Office: Whenever we investigate ourselves, we find ourselves innocent.

I'm glad the folks involved got arrested, hopefully most (if not all) the coins are found. Back in 2021 I had my own Postal delivery guy attempt (my own opinion) to steal my package. I had posted my story here in the forum (in the USPS threads) Luckily I had a camera set up watching my front door and mail box. But I had to split the coverage in order to get both areas. Now I have 4 cameras outside my house - 2 of them are specially aimed - one zoomed into the mail box, and the other at my front door. here is a link to my story. http://goccf.com/t/393512&whichpage=6#3399822

The son is now dead from a suicide, after being arrested (again) on other charges, methamphetamine possession, other thefts, the mom is doing hard time in prison, I believe only 5 years though.

My issue, as pointed out by others, is that establishments were repeatedly buying these very high dollar coins from someone who really didn't have the means to possess them. I hope that investigations into this fiasco include them as well.
