I recently sent a batch of coins to PCGS for grading, and I thought I would post them here to get people's thoughts on the grade. I will post the results from PCGS in 2 days. First up is a 1907 IHC.

Always good to see a nice even luster on a copper or bronze coin.
Also much easier to grade than blotchy, so expect a very narrow range of grading opinions.

I am also at

I will say MS65+ RD. If it does grade higher, it nearly triple in value.

I had this at MS-65 RD or RB when I sent it in because I thought the small bag mark above the 7 on the obverse would keep it from a higher grade. So I was a bit surprised when it got an MS-64 RB. Hard to argue about the color--you need at least 95% of original color to get a red designation, and this one is close to that mark but borderline. I still think it deserved a 65, but I'm not willing to spend more to get it reconsidered.

I'm not well versed in grading, but 64 seems low to me as well... that's a beauty! I would be very happy to have that coin in my collection!

I also do not agree with the slab grading.

From my 24 inch monitor, the only things I can find minor fault with are be found on the obverse:-
1. A minor chatter above the feathers
2. A small spot behind the lower feathers.

Perhaps MS-65 + would be closer to the most accurate grading.

I have found that whatever grade I think an Indian is, PCGS will grade it at least one lower. My guess on this would have been 64 thinking that it is really a 65.
