Here's a '92-D Close AM that'll become available soon- Tentative auction date in March, will keep posted. Coin certified with PCGS as AU-58, consensus of experts to examine it before PCGS was that the coin grades MS-62 RB. Please examine the photos- coin exhibits NO friction, nor any traces of wear. Unquestionably, the coin was pulled from change- but didn't circulate long enough to accumulate "wear". Differences in grading aside- this variety sold on 5/10/09 in a Teletrade auction, coin graded AU-53 with corrosion and verdigris.....and sold for $2900! Watch for Teletrade Ads publicizing the sale of the below example.

I'm out here in the West. California. I should start looking for these too! I'm kicking myself.

PCGS Thinks so too. Coin photo is before it was slabbed.

the second coin shown in this post belongs to a client of mine- it was found several years ago, I don't want it to appear that these are popping up everywhere- probably about a dozen known of the 92D. About half that for the Philly.

Thanks for pointing that out liveandievarieties...there are people that see a dozen posts of a coin and suddenly they are common.

Far from common, but they are being found still.

I nudged Wolf to contact his contact and see if she can go online and get us an update. Hopefully, we'll know something in a day or two.
