1984 P Error Quarter? - Coin Community Forum

Bobby84 New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 05/28/2013 10:37 am The Coke machine spit out this cherry 1984 P quarter, I only kept it because it was my birth year but upon further inspection, its double die like crazy and has a die chip in the last A in America, with weak strike on the lower leaves on the branches above Quarter Dollar? Can anyone help me with a value or info on this error as I have not seen one at all when I search it? Report this Post to the Staff

The chip is where the metal of the planchet filled in where the die broke. I am not into quarters, but on Lincoln cents, where my knowledge is, a chip like that would be worth a couple of bucks at most. Report this Post to the Staff
