The Coke machine spit out this cherry 1984 P quarter, I only kept it because it was my birth year but upon further inspection, its double die like crazy and has a die chip in the last A in America, with weak strike on the lower leaves on the branches above Quarter Dollar? Can anyone help me with a value or info on this error as I have not seen one at all when I search it?

to CCF. It does not look like a doubled die to me. It looks like a very late die state aka worn die. Lets wait for a pro to chime in though.

A die chip is part of the die that broke off. The chip is where the metal of the planchet filled in where the die broke. I am not into quarters, but on Lincoln cents, where my knowledge is, a chip like that would be worth a couple of bucks at most.
Rest in Peace

I know that coins like that aren't worth much, but I do love finding them.

I kind of like the look of the die flow.

They are the wrinkles of a senior die. I like the EDS coins best they look so much better.

I have one with all the same features. Only mine has no chip by the "A" I also was under the impression it was a double die
