I get uncommon coins in more than common condition. I don't have 1926-S Buffalo in MS65 but do have one in VF30. This to me is where it is at, but I leave others to collect anyway they want. I just always wanted the early 20th century coins in sets of higher grade...VF and above. Both styles are perfectly legitimate. Report this Post to the Staff

ron6788 Pillar of the Community United States 655 Posts	Posted 10/30/2017 08:35 am I recently bought this 1808 half. It's a VF-25 which looked nicer than my current VF-25 but, when I got it in person, it actually looks identical. In fact, they both have a kind of toning about the portrait which looks kind of like a wave retreating. Not sure why they both would have the same thing or even what it is exactly. I just got it today in a set that I got on ebay that contained no fewer than a dozen BU coins, as early as 1920. This was the prize though. The second coin, the 1871 Seated dime, isn't mine yet, but I have agreed to purchase it for my type set. I've looked at a zillion Seated dimes, and until this one, didn't see one that "did it" for me. This one "does it" for sure. Chance My "betrothed" ... obverse pic's a bit blurry..
