Actually, the last truly unsearched roll I bought off ebay, had 50 Quarter Eagles in it! It was HEAVY.

He should just play dumb and say "OLD Bird Face Lady Silver Coin and Wheat penny Roll" He'd make more money off of the suckers.

Why does he call them unsearched wheats/indians if they're gold eagles. I don't get his idea.

On that particular one, if it goes for less than $200, someone's getting a good deal on that gold eagle alone. However, I doubt it'll stay that low.

Welcome to the forum, twocents! Generally speaking, most of us here would recommend staying far away from "unsearched" rolls listed on ebay. It seems that there is an oddly high proportion of "unsearched" rolls that have a key date or some attractive oddity on the end(s). And then the remaining 48-49 are just junk. I.e., it's a marketing gimmick. Now, if you're looking to fill holes in an album or folder or something, you can sometimes get good deals on those rolls. Just don't be fooled into thinking that no one has gone through and cherry picked the cherries.

i would tend to believe that there is no such thing as an unsearched roll on ebay esspecially the ones with something attractive on the ends now the rolls that are sold that are just a solid date roll may be legit but I would say stay away from everything else.

I only buy things I can see on ebay. Like a specific coin, or 4-5 specific coins. But I would give that same advise to buying anything on ebay... see what you are buying. If you want a 1914d or a 1909s VDB penny, pony up the dough and buy one. Don't think you will ever find one in an "unsearched" roll. Unsearched rolls are ALWAYS a scam. Although I will say for every loser buyer and seller on ebay there are probably 100+ good ones.

If the roll is unserched how the heck they say is LWC roll or how they know their is LWC's inside ? For every customer who fall on the trap it ll only make the scammer put more rolls for sale because he knows there is people who gonna buy it then more people ll be mistaking and the snowball only gets bigger and bigeer know what I mean ..

The worst part of all these types of scams is how many little kids or elderly people see them and think it's all real. Some kids may well blow money on that stuff that should be used for something real. Many elderly people just don't know and get taken by this stuff all the time.
