VF-35 seems about right.
Color seems a bit odd and I'm bothered by the weakness at the back of Liberty's cap. Her lips also seem slightly distorted. Might be nothing but I'd check the weight. The 1881-CC is worth $300+ in this grade, well worth a counterfeiter's efforts.

The coloration of the fields on the reverse look off. Also the rim on the reverse at about 2-o'clock looks odd.

I agree with Jobler, something just isn't sitting right with me on this coin, a commonly counterfeited series, CC lower grades are big from China right now. Remember all the Small "O" mm coins that PCGS & NGC certified are now known to be counterfeits. They have US coining presses and the ability to create exact matching dies, use VAM pick up points to help determine it's authenticity - I'm not saying it isn't real, just suspicious, without close up sharp photos. For a grade VF-20 to me.

About 90% likelihood of being fake. A look at the seller's other stuff would give a better idea.
Reverse rim from 11-2 looks bad.

Good chance it is fake. Usually on a genuine VF-25/VF-30 example you can see patterns of wear on Liberty's face and other areas. This one looks like it was struck with that level of detail.
That said, details look correct so perhaps this is a very weakly struck example in EF condition. I would definitely stay away from these unless they are slabbed.

I allready requested for the weight of it but the seller has 100% positive feedback! The coloration of fields might be fom the scan because I bought some coins that looked like this but wen I see them in my hand is completly difrent! And off course the weight check out! I weight all my coins to be shure!

Weight is obviously important but a correct weight does not prove a coin is real. For expensive dates like the 1881-CC a counterfeiter can strike the piece in genuine coin silver (90% pure) to achieve the correct weight and density and still make a nice profit. The color and design issues mentioned in this thread need to be explored to get an acceptable confidence level. Or, it you can get a 100% money-back guarantee from the seller you can buy it and send to ANACS for authentication. I trust their ability to detect fake Morgans.

Well like I live in Portugal it will be hard to send the coin to autentify, lets see how the biding progresses! The starting price of the coin in the auction is actually a price of a normal Morgan dollar if it is real de seller doesn't know aparantlly!

Try a magnet on this one. Doesn't look right at all to me.

I agree that something looks off on this coin.

I say fake. Cynically, I'd say, it wont stick to a magnet not because it's silver, but zinc ! Terrible reproduction...and even worse job on trying to distress the rim.

The only way to know if it is silver or not is to clean it!

Where did you get that idea? Don't Clean Coins! Another way to verify the composition is by conducting a specific gravity test for silver. There are some old threads on the forum about how to do this. Just search "specific gravity test".

Why is cleaning coins considered a crime in the colecting community?
