Live in Manitoba and got two of the US president dollars in my change (Grant and Taylor) and didn't know what they were at first. Thought they were arcade tokens.

The artwork is great but the shape and size is surprising. Thought they would be bigger. Into my foreign collection they go.

If you want more, there are probably several million in storage at the US Mint.

Thanks for the tip Fuzzy317! LOL
I think I'll wait for them in my loose change. Got a hard enough time trying to add to my Canadian collection. Still waiting for the day I get a fish scale in my change. Then it will be .

Guess we just found a place for the unwanted dollars! jk

Aren't the coins comparable in size and color to the Loonie? Occasionally they are found down here in rolls..

Hi Coinsearcher83
The loonie is very close in color (nickel and bronze) to the new US dollar but the average loonie is 11 sided, weighs 7 grams and is between 26.50 and 26.72 mm across.

Hope this helps!

I've found 2 Loonies in customer-wrapped $1 coin rolls. The bank wouldn't take them back. :-p

No matter now though. I'm starting a Canadian coin collection. :-)

Interesting. I've never received any of the Presidential dollars in my change. None of the Sac either.

I'm with you Satxwd, I've never got any in change, but I have spent many of them.

I always make a fuss when receiving worthless foreign coins. What a rip-off.
