Part of me feels bad that the seller's typo in the listing and failure to describe the item accurately led to me grabbing this fella for so cheap...

Believe it or not, the bid was at $2.50 up until the final two minutes.

Can't wait to get it!

Ok I am not into the modern coins that much but you peaked my interest in what is special about this one, FMV says in this grade the coin is worth $20.00. Know I do know that ms-67 is a very high grade for any coin.

Now is it becasue they don't exist in ms-68?
Is it because it has the label millennium coin? and what does that mean for the coin?

Hit me back so I can better understand this modern issue.

Ps. I grabbed a single 2000-P looikng very BU the other day from my bank tellers stash and I also got a 2011 P from my other bank these were loose singles they had.

mario,

That is exactly what I was thinking. I'll be interested in hearing why also.

PCGS puts this coin at $175 in this grade.

To explain what it is goes back to the beginning of the series. The mint paid the designer of the coin, Glenna Goodacre $5000 in specially burnished Sacagawea dollars, these were minted in Philly. Some of these coins were sold by Goodacre through an agreement with ICG, who slabbed and numbered the coins. The mint also ran a mintage of about 75,000 burnished 2000-D pieces which look similar to the Goodacre dollars. These were sold in the Millenium Coin & Currency sets. MS-67 is the high end of what was typically found in those sets, coins above this grade are extremely rare and sell for thousands of dollars.

Essentially, this is a semi-key variety for the series and should have commanded a price of at least $100 on ebay, had the seller proof-red their listing.

It's because of the Millennium label. It came out of one of the Millennium sets that sold in 2000 that had an ASE and a Sac dollar in it. They only sold 75,000 sets. There is nothing special about the coin itself, just that it came out of that set.
