Hi guys

Can anyone help explain why the 1953 nickel on the left has a smaller edge (ridge) than the 1953 nickel on the right...?

One is "near" variety, the other is "far'.The leaves did not move to cause the difference for these varieties, the rims and beads did.

Although I love to collect Canadian nickels, I need to update my own info on the different types found since Y2K when I was last serious about them.

Having said that, I am wondering wither the difference can be attributed to the NSF or SF types for this year?
