Here is another one from Zacatecas, with the 'regular' bust for Ferdinand VII.
Again, a nice example :)
(gosh, I like this mint very much :p)

They all come from the last Aureo auction, from Mr Leunda :)
I like the patina of this one very much - I also prefer "natural" looking coins

I'm on my phone, so yhe images are a bit small. Is there something going on with the first assayer initial? Repunched?

Very nice coin, Looks like the AZ/RG variety, one of the more desirable varieties. Good purchase and a nice clean natural looking coin. You are building up quite the collection of these.

Nothing really obvious visible under the G, but that definitely looks like part of "R" under the "A".

Thanks :) I'm actually collecting anything spansh from year 1000 till Ferdinand VII. A sort of one of each kind :)
And Ferdinand VII has many :p
I was wondering if there was an over-essayer as well - the coin was not documented as such from Aureo.
Here is the big picture :

It is the AZ/RG variety. Every example I have seen has the bold "R" and a very faint portion of the "G". As I posted above, this is one of the more desirable varieties of the 1821Z. Great buy and a definite "keeper". If you go to sell it, Twokopecki and I will probably fight over it.

Excellent :)
From the auction picture I didn't saw this, and I was not looking for a particular feature like this :D
It's a good surprise indeed. I paid 260 euros for it (all inclusive) - a bit less than for the zacatecas provisional coinage
