i. Q's CHIN
j. JOIN between S2 & S3
k. Q's CHEEK

m. Obv Die Crack
n. Rev Metal in Legend I appear to have at least 31 Combinations of the above errors. m. = Obv Die Crack; Rim through I, through Hair Cud, into hair to Tiara n.= Rev Metal in O and D of WORLD & in front of 3 in Legend I am in the process of imaging all the different combinations, cropping the images, and combining the small images into one or two for each coin. It's fairly slow going, so will be a while before I can post the finished images. life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

I have found none! Big fat zilch. Maybe I am not looking hard enough. Or maybe just none have passed through my hands....

I changed my mind about the images. I'll try to get a nice clear shot of each error and just post that, as it will take far too long to complete all the scans otherwise. As I have so many with the robe Cud, I will be able to do some shots that show the progression of the deterioration of the die. This will happen little later on. a.S1 underarm Cud - just above rolled up right sleeve b. Robe Cud c. s3 neck Cud - 2 coins - s3's neck curve filled in d. Cud on s1 hand - blob over 2 smallest fingers - a bit hard to see e. s1 left elbow Cud f,m. D.Ck rim to tiara + haircuds - all on same coin g. side & tip of nose Cuds h. s1 front & top helmet Cud i. Q's chin & cheek Cud j. Cud between s2 & s3 shoulders - 3 coins - also note Cud hanging off s3's helmet brim in middle image, bottom image shows the outlines of Cuds that failed to form k. Q's cheek Cud l. Q's top & bottom lip Cud n. metal in O & D of WORLD & 3 of 1939

You've put together a great list with fantastic photos. I'll be checking all those I found today now. Some Die Deterioration progression shots would be good to see if they aren't too much trouble.

Here are some multiple shots of some of the errors, but they're not in any order of Die Deterioration. I have too much trouble telling some of them apart. 15 Robe Cuds 12 Nose Cuds 9 chin Cuds 8 Neck Cuds

Nancy, You have to stop posting all these error details. I spend more and more time noodling now because there are so many things to look for. Whatever did happen to the idea of a hi-tech coin scanner/grader? My brain just manages to almost remember last lot and then there's more. Maybe I need a memory upgrade (and the eyes too wouldn't hurt). I tried plugging a memory stick in my ear but it didn't seem to do anything. Jeff PS. You will have mail in a few minutes

I also found none today. Other than being interesting do they actually have a value >50c?

Jeff, I think it was Dibby33 that was working on a noodling machine. I was considering trying too, but so far have only done a bit of reading.

I came across some more 2005 50c coins and now have some more piccies to show you. I've tried to keep part of another element in each image so you can judge where each Cud is located on each coin. Front of hair Cuds, first noticed this error on Tues night, and found it on 5 coins. Bottom of 'A' and 'U' of Aust visible in top right of image, Cud is towards the bottom left: Some more nose Cuds, 4 of these have 3 Cuds on each coin, Bridge of nose, halfway down nose and hanging under nose: the 5th has just 1 under the nose, I only have one of that type: 6 Lip Cuds, mostly bottom lip, just 1 on the top lip: 10 Hair Cuds, back of the head towards the neck. Bottom of A in Elizabeth visible in each image, 2nd from the bottom right has 2 Cuds. Hair Cuds appear in 3 positions, Back of head, top rear of head, and front of the head. (Top rear of head images are yet to come). Still heaps of 50c error coins to do images of, but thankfully, not 2005 WWII ones.
