Well, I finally finished filling my Kennedy half Dansco album! I went by the coin store I frequent this afternoon after doing some grocery shopping to check out the new bid board. After browsing a bit I asked if they had any 2009 halves (they hadn't the last few times I've asked), lo and behold they had about 20 of each. Spent a few minutes going through and found the two with the least amount of bag marks/dings.. Handed them 3 dollars and headed home to fill those holes! Next order of business is carefully removing each and then taking some good photos. Just picked up a couple of Jansjo LED's this week and will hopefully have my new copy stand next week sometime, so I should be able to photograph the set pretty quickly. I know you guys want pics so I'll try to oblige asap. I just had to share and do a little dancing!

FYI - if your not aware: To protect the surfaces, you should handle the coins while using gloves: white cotton is normally what's used.

Quote: FYI - if your not aware: To protect the surfaces, you should handle the coins while using gloves: white cotton is normally what's used. Excellent advice, Fuzzy. I always make sure to wear my cotton gloves any time I'm handling my coins. The little lady also knows that she is not to talk to me while the coins are in her vicinity and that I will not respond to her if she asks me something. No saliva spots allowed! A little tip I learned the hard way for anyone looking to buy some of the white cotton gloves. You can get them pretty cheap at Wizard Coin Supply, but the sizes are a bit misleading. I'm not a really big guy, and my hands are somewhat small so I thought the large would be fine. I couldn't even fit my fingers into the wrist opening. XL is probably what would fit most men.

Is this Kennedy collection including the Proofs and Silver Proofs......or just P & D's.... And of course, every 100% FULL and COMPLETE Kennedy collection MUST include the most treasured Kennedy half of them all...... The 1998 Silver Matte Proof finish (only available in the special Set) I'm trying to build this particular set......but I may spend the rest of my life "trying" ! .....

I actually have most of the clad Kennedy proofs, a few of the silver proofs. I don't like to put proofs in my albums. They are in air-tites in boxes. At some point I'll probably finish getting the clad and silver proofs, minus the 1998 Matte proof.

Well done on completing this set. What are going to work on next? I am trying to build my Kennedy half set from coins that I get from the bank. Except I had to buy the 1970-D and 1987 P and D since these were not made for circulation. However, I am surprised at how many 2002 and more recent dates I have obtained from banks. I still need a couple to finish my set. I am not giving up yet.

Congrats! and a big + on the Jansjo lights, I have a pair and have been shooting all evening with them, very versatile, very easy to position and decent lighting, need to make some diffusers soon though.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Quote: Well done on completing this set. What are going to work on next? I think I'm going to finish up my Jefferson set next. I only need to fill about 15 - 20 more holes, and already have the 50 d. Hopefully I can finish that one up in the next couple of months.
