I got this through a very complex trade from a forum buddy of mine. PCGS certified. Guesses on the grade?

I think on a good day it would get the xf 40 grade. On a bad day vf 35.

I find Buffalo nickels very hard to grade, especially for me.

But, it does look EF and a nice rare one at that.

EF40 or maybe VF35 they tend to be tougher on the key dates. I;m looking at the horn on the reverse, don't think it would go AU IMO.

I think the horn isn't full enough to give it EF- it is a very strong VF

Since it is Johnny's coin, I'll go AG-03. lol. Seriously - nice coin and probably a XF40, but if you got the happy grader who got some lovin from Mama that morning, maybe it is AU-50. :-)

Thanks for all the comments! I think the PCGS grader got a spanking from mama that morning, because it's graded VF-30. ;-) Probably that little extra wear on the horn dropped it down, because it definitely looks XF+ otherwise.
