SweetSwede Did you know that in New York city the streetsigns used to be in all capital letters? They did some research and learned that a combination of capital and lower case letters is actually easier to read, both up-close and at a distance.... I think they got funding from the DOT to pay for the new signs also... Know what I mean? *nudge, nudge* Nod's as good as a wink to a blind man!

I've discussed this before, I think the high grade 45's are about the hardest thing to come across I've seen. They are out there, at least a few, but try and buy an MS 65. Go ahead. ;)

I would suggest the order of rarity for circulation silver dollars is: 1948 1947 Pointed 7 (with its numerous varieties: dot, 2 X HP etc). 1947 Maple Leaf 1945 1947 Blunt 7 1946 1951 Arnprior 1938 1955 Arnprior
and then the rest.

None of the Dollars are rare in the real sense of the word. IN AU/Unc a set can be put together in an afternoon by visiting a few major coin stores in a big city. The 1948 dollar is really overrated.

When you look at it that way, all Canadian coins are very common until you get into the coveted high end Mintstate grades. Glenn
