Light wear on breast, head, right thigh, and rims on the obverse. The reverse rims also show friction. I don't see any luster although given the overall high grade there should be some lurking under the dark tone. Sometimes dark color like this can mask corrosion but I'm not seeing that problem. There are minor rim hits at 2:30 on both sides.
Overall detail looks AU-50 but I'd knock it down to EF-45 unless there is more luster than shown in the images.

A nice, original-looking coin!

Wow very nice seated half. Probably XF45 due to lack of luster but I wouldn't mind paying AU50 money for it.

EF45+ but AU with more luster, very little wear, just a touch of rub on the high points a very nice half!

I think AU is a bit much for this coin but it's better than VF-30. I'd grade it XF-40 myself and I consider myself pretty good with the Liberty Seated series. Super coin and a historical piece to boot! I have one 1861-O Seated half but I bought it when Liberty was sitting on a chamber pot. Very embarrassing.

i never saw this coin until today

i agree with chester as well

i dont see an AU coin due to luster lack and when I looked at the pole crossing into her arm I did not see what I would want to look at as a 45

I'm going to ha to research the archives on EF40 vs 45 and into AU on this type to see what I'm missing to grade it so much lower at first glance

beauty nonetheless
i wish I had it
