Hello from Melbourne, I got $10 in 20c and 50c from ANZ today. Found my first '07 20c, plus a '01 SA, and a '77 50c Jubilee. What makes it so much fun to find this stuff?

G'day, with all due respect to those who spend whatever sums on NCLT: NEAesculus invested $10, and some of his time; he got three coins worth keeping; AND he got $9.10 in change; AND he had fun. I rest my case !
by the way NEAesculus, I get $20 each week. Like you, I only keep a few. I'm not in a position to spend as much as I'd like, or as much as I used to, but I can maintain my interest, within my means, until my situation improves.
Still haven't seen any 2007 coins, other than APEC. Peter in Darwin

That's the fun thing about coin collecting. You can do it for as little as a few cents or for thousands, whichever fits our means. And, the money isn't gone, at least if we've done it wisely.

G'day from Darwin, the 2007 $1 APEC first appeared here in August, but are still only a trickle. the 2007 20-cent started to appear here in October, and I've put aside a few. Haven't seen any other denominations in Darwin, yet. Reading the posts of others: it seems that all denominations, other than 50-cent, have been seen in circulation. Peter

So the 5c is starting to circulate at last. That only leaves the 50c now. Steve

Muckeye, If you are talking from circulation then I bet you do too. I live in W.A. the letters mean Wait Awhile. LOL Actually I already have a 2007 5c, I broke up a Lifesaver Uncirculated set. I kept the 5c,10c,50c and $2 and sent the $1 and 20c to some friends in the U.S. Steve

G'day, and Ha! You reckon it's slow in W.A. ? I've only seen $1 and 20-cent in Darwin. Up here, in N.T., we say N.T. stands for - "Not Today, Not Tomorrow, and "Not The day after ..."

I actually remember pulling out at least 3 APEC dollar coins in early Jan, perhaps 8th of Jan or so, which is absurdly early compared to the rest of the coins. And for the rest of the year, I only pulled another 2 and they just vanished!! They must have travelled to other states! Perhaps living in NSW it means "New Stuffs? Wait"
This can suck!

Have only seen 1x 20c and 2x 10c 2007 here in South West division WA. One of the 10c is problem free unlike the majority cited, on Aus ebay room, that exhibit doubling to birds tail or blobs on the 0 of 10. What surprises me is the quantity of other year dates that show up here in aUNC condition. eg 2002 $1 , 2004 20c , Heaps of 2006 20c. All aUNC well beyond year. I'm starting to think that there are bags of coinage sitting stored in bank vaults with no particular care given to 'stock rotation'!

Hi SueS, I didn't know we had another Sandgroper on the forum. What town are you in? I'm in Perth Metro. Steve
