cecoins Valued Member United States 140 Posts	Posted 02/01/2007 10:34 am i need some help with grading this Shield nickel. it looks ef-40 to me but I'm not sure. all of the horizontal and vertical lines arefull and seperated the pic does not show this. The leaves show decent detail and the cross at the top has the outline showing. Report this Post to the Staff

On the obverse, I see very faint signs of wear on the leaves. The rest of the details are outstanding. On the reverse, I see slight wear on the ends of the rays and the numeral looks a little flat, but this may be from the strike. I think this coin makes EF40. Report this Post to the Staff
