stevex6, I'm a die hard habs fan so the quarter looks pretty good to me ;). The logo seems a little off, but whatever. On that note though, it seems that sports related coins never do very well. I don't have any numbers on me at the moment, but the ones that I have seen get little to no interest.

ztt2 => I'm pretty sure that coin-logo is the ol' retro Habs logo ... your team has seen far better days. => one man's ugly, is another man's beautiful ... Cheers

^Yeah it's the old vintage one from like the 70s ish, I dunno why though just something about it seems wrong in a very subtle way. Oh well. On a side note I got some extra cash and bought myself the walrus set, so that's one more unloved walrus finding a good home

https://goccf.com/t/115175#985204I like the milk token half. I thought it quite novel when issued but too expensive. I finally got one complete with OGP this year for about half the issue price.

The milk token half was the first modern Canadian special issue I bought - but got it from ebay a few years after its issue. I just thought it so weird looking, and such a change (no pun) from things that are normally commemorated on coins that I had to have one. They look good in hand. It sort of fit into my observations that the RCM seems to want to commemorate everything and everything it can think of (its a business - makes them money). Sometimes it is very unusual what they come up with. Who knows what will be next?

Sure sounds like they are the same coin ... but I'm not sure why there is a $0.95 difference? (unfortuntely, there isn't a photo associated with the cheaper coin) ... but I'll betcha $0.95 that they're the same coin!!

I just bought the milk coin for $30 today on ebay. I remember trying to buy it for essentially the exact same amount in 2009, so the coin was definitely a flop. I know I probably overpaid a little but I always loved the design. Looks like a guitar pick to me. :)

Well, it's obviously not a huge flop, for it apparently has a small cult following on our CCF site!!

Most Franklin Mint products bombed. They hurt themselves with the way they abused the market.

I was actually considering getting the milk token the other day too. It's found its second life it seems. Good ol' Charlton says it sold 24,448, so I'm kinda surprised the current market for it is so bad, especially when issue was 49.95.
