There may be "left-overs" after the wrecking yard magnetic crane leaves the area, since not all of Cananda's coinage is magnetic...is it?

If you plan on going metal detecting there at this time of this year be sure to take a lot of bug repellent with you. It'll soon be black fly time in them thar' woods.

Watch the video, they put a lot of useless effort into clearing all of that. After all, its a guarantee that if the authorities left it alone and returned in a few days they would find it had all been cleaned up for them. Seriously - a comment on the page said that insurance would cover this for Brinks? If this is true, I wonder what they do with the coins? I also hope the drivers come out of this OK.

They might make the area, a no detecting zone, soon I`m sure that there is some locals who have already been there with their machines.

I think after these coins are gathered the RCM can make a profit on them by marketing them as "truck crash" coins similar to shipwreck coins. "The loonies of the famous Trans-Canada Highway Crash of 2012, yours for only $3.95 each"!
