Interesting article. I had not realized that the first Morgan dies were destroyed after 1904 and the 1921 Morgan dies were re-creations/reproductions of the original design.

I might add the dies of the "1921" Morgans were NOT made to the original specs,(POOR QUALITY) hence the variety of many, many , many Vams which have numerous die breaks/cracks , more than the previous dated Morgans. Actually those coins were an attempt to have a come back, which IMO, was an amazing study into the varieties produced, and still has people doing research to this date........... Nothing like a sweet die break/crack on a Morgan/Peace Dollar :) IMO/JMO............

I dislike the 1921 Morgans because of this. They almost seem imposters
