I just bought eight 1964 Kennedy halves, Ten 1965-1969, and 20 pre-1965 Roosevelt dimes from my buddy tonight for $190. Seem like an honest fair deal?

I can only speak of the silver value. The coins listed have a silver spot value of $185

What's $5 between buddys. I agree that it sounds fair. There may be some coins were a little more due to quality.

yeah, 5 bucks is nothing between buddy's. A couple of the dimes are definitely in MS condition. I think one of the halves is a proof, but it is a bit beat up.. He just got the coins as a late inheritance, and didn't have any interest in them, so rather than be all sketchy, and try to snatch them up for nothing, I figured I would pay him a fair price for them. He did keep two 90% halves that appear to definitely be in MS condition though. I really wanted those ones. :)

Yes fair deal. You paid a little over spot which is much better than your buddy would have received if he sold to a coin shop. If your buddy sold on ebay he may have grossed more but ebay and Paypal fees take a good chunk off of that plus he has to go through the hassle of shipping it. I say it's a fair deal for both of you.

Absolutely! Now go back and work on him for the others! That's what friends are for! Just find something that he is interested in to trade.

Sounds fair. As friends neither one you should want to take advantage of each other. Now if there were any coins in MS grade you definitely got a good deal.

My guess would be since it was an inheritence, they wanted to keep a little something to remember the person by. Or they were shiney, and people like shiney things. Nice pickups btw.
