Hard to tell with this positioning and lighting, but the edge denticles look like they could be fakes- uneven. Try to get the pieces flat, with lighting from one side, to show the features of the surfaces clearly. There is some major distortions on several of the illustrations, but that appears to be part of the photo, as opposed to the coins.

There have been quite a bit of "I inherited these coins from my father, uncle or aunt". for these Chinese replicas. The spreads must be wider than I originally thought there was.

I collect world coins and most of them I buy online, but I don't dare to buy Chinese silver coins online.. to risky..

I'll say the opposite - for a change they may seem to be genuine. Most of these coins are "common" silver coins even though are widely counterfeited. The Pei Yang is worth more. Most of them are easily in the range of 100-200 dollar range except for a couple but it may good look.

I don't know when or how my Dad bought these, he had several sets of different Gold, Silver and Platinum coins. I guess the only way to be sure is to get them authenticated by NGC. Any advice on best and cheapest way to get them authenticated? I see by their site that there are lots of service options.

I would hold off until doing two simple test, weight it and check to see if it stick to a magnet. I did save myself the trouble before sending to graders with some of these, as gxseries said, some are more common.
@BadAsAl, Can you get a got shot at the COA, or perhaps a link to where this can be find?

@macmercury I have tested with magnet and they are not magnetic. I do not have a digital scale but plan to weigh them next time I get over to someone's house who does. Here is the COA:

Thanks BadAsAl,
That's a good sign having the COA and pass the magnet test, if the weight are in order, I don't think it would be fake either for the common ones like gxseries indicated, but knowing these are forge so often the profit is great for counterfeiters.

Weight wise, they are all within tolerance. I believe you may have something that's worth a fair bit because of the ridicious prices these days. They may total up to closer to 1000 dollars.

Great investment by your dad.
Some of the common ones went down a bit like no. 2 and 3. The other three are better.

That confirms it!
I was quick to jump to conclusion with a few posts of fake Chinese coins and not paying attention.

@macmercury: I understand! I know there are lots of fakes and thus even with the COA I was nervous and wanted to make sure.
@gxseries: thanks for the confirmation of tolerances!
I asked a lady at work who is from China to look at them to confirm dates, etc. and she was thrilled to see them, seeing as they are a part of her home countries history. She is even going to research them for me on chinese sites to help determine value and best way to sell.
