Thoughts on current grade of this 37 S and potential for breaking out and resubmission..... thanks, I am told this will grade up however am not sure I want to go that route. I'm not a Mercury nor a dime collector but this just came into my possession so I'm looking to barter. Edited by southsav 07/06/2012 10:08 pm

65FB. Don't know if this will go 66. A little flat on the bands to be a FSB.

Can't really see anything wrong with it, except a small patina spot near the 'Y'.
MS64FB.
Taking a picture of it INSIDE the slab does make it a bit harder for us, though. PCGS will be able to examine the coin 'in the raw' and not have to use pictures like we have to. That makes the grading harder for us than will be for PCGS.
BTW would it be possible, if you DO re submit the coin, ask them what techniques they use from breaking coins out of slabs?

I will guess MS-66 FB with maybe a chance at a 67. Nice coin!

This is a PCGS MS 66 FB. Thinking it should be 66 + or a 67. Thanks to all!

I think if its already graded at 66FB that will probably be all you will get out of it. I really doubt they will give it a 67. It seems most are saying its a 66 or below in their guesses so I don't know if I would bother having this one regraded. Of course this is just my opinion and you can do what you feel you should do as you have the advantage that we do not have of seeing the coin in hand

Before I looked at the "answer", I was going to guess 66FB. I think it could get a "+" but not 67.

I was going to say 64 or 65 FSB. I was going probably a tad conservative since it's PCGS. Very nice coin.
