thirteen hits, plus $97.40 in change, for your investment of $100 and an hour of your time: that's a pretty good return.

Yeup, I was pleased in particular with the two 2004 big heads! I spent months looking for my first one and I think I only found one between that one and these ones. Straight into the 2x2s they went :-)

I think the bighead is underrated. I like those. Only found a few and gave one to a friend as I think they are good.

Got yourself some plums in that lot dibby. Did you check the 2001 platy's for rotated dies? How were the 2004 big heads condition-wise? I usually find examples with weak rims, so wear is a bit more of a problem. Agree that the mint set ones hold the value of the circ. ones down a bit, but still are worth hanging on for the long run. My hit rate is around one per two x $100 bags, so 2 in the one lot of $100 is a good strike rate! I see a few CCF people are really keen on a rotated 2010 50 cent, so you may want to give the 50's a go, specially if you are in NSW....

One was nice, the other is more worn (including the lettering) that I would have liked. But still... I check all coins for rotated dies! Nothing there. I have three interviews 2mrw so will not have time to get to the bank, but next week I am going to get another baggy :-)

Quote: I note I am still yet to ever find a single 1985 50c COA (has anyone ever found one?) That's unlucky. I think I've found three or four in all the time I've been looking, but they've all been in the last 12 months strangely. They're definitely out there anyway.

Hi dcoin, I have found a few 1985 50c. With enough looking you will find one.

Maybe it just is luck, I must have looked through $5,000 worth of 50 cent coins in the last 12 months and not a single 1985.
