What do you all think? The lines are on the left and right starting below the hands and along statue base. Reminded me a little like this one http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/dies...ie_state=eds but to a lesser degree.

Pretty cool...I was gonna say the bottom of the statue...but there are quite a few lines in there...interesting

I believe the marks we are seeing is an older polishing of the die. They don't make a uniform pattern like hub doubling would create. While looking at the image that is darker, on the area above the statue and the other columns I see sweeping marks like a polishing would create. Sorry John1. Maybe the next coin will be a new discovery.
