No luck with the Coinstar today but, I did find this in the parking lot held by a cheap money clip: Just in case I may have been given a sign, I soon after bought a few scratch-offs and used it on them. Total bust. Oh well, it was worth a shot!

I didn't find this from a Coinstar, but I was at an outdoor mall and found a dollar coin and a dime in one of the vending machines, and on the way out, another quarter making it a total of $1.35!

Illegaltender, you're on a very nice CoinStar silver run! After a day off (went to Disneyland with a friend and family), I'm back to it today... Even on my day off, I managed to find about $1.30 in normal change in one of the machines I visited.

Checking out of WM self-checkout. I saw someone at the coinstar machine. Finished my transaction and stood around, not too close. Person was sweeping coins into the intake. I could hear the kaching-a-kaching of the reject tray. Pulse went up. No way I said. Person printed the ticket and walked away. I netted $1.31. No silver. But better than my few visits to Vegas!

Today, at a Fred Meyer, found ¢.25 in US coins, a Canadian dime, 2 Mexican 1 peso coins, and a 1957 Spanish 5 peseta coin with the dictator El Caudillo (Franco) on it. I'm feeling rather international today! A lady next to it servicing a lotto machine looked at me like I was nuts, but I just smiled at her.

Sunday I got 3 cents (one badly corroded zincoln) from the reject tray and two dimes and a cent from the feed tray. A couple of pre-1982 cents but nothing special.

Coinstars are paying out for some of you. I am still coming up empty. My usual store just got a brand new machine so I am hoping it gets more use than the old one, meaning more potential for rejects.
