After a LONG drought my local grocery finally paid out. I found 72 cents US with just 2009 penny and a 80 copper penny as keepers. I also found a common game token, but in a first for me I also found a dog tag. That is pretty weird...   |

I've had my biggest Coinstar hoard ever!   I went to the supermarket in my lunch hour. After getting my shopping, I had a quick look in the Coinstar reject slot, and couldn't believe my eyes - it was absolutely full of coins! I scooped them up and put them in my pocket... There were 42 coins altogether. 32 of them were ordinary British ones: 12 pennies, five 2p's, nine 5p's, two 10p's and four 20p's - making up a respectable £1.67. Here are the more interesting ones:    - Two 2009 Nepal Rupees (collection addition) - Switzerland 2009 half-franc (collection addition) - United Arab Emirates 2008 25 fils (collection addition) - Belgium 2015 2 cents (collection addition) - Spain 1 cent 2016 - Netherlands 2 cents 1999 - Cyprus 20 cents 2008 - Poland 5 groszy 2004 - USA 2014P dime I very nearly didn't go into that shop at all - I'm glad I did! This is by far my best ever Coinstar haul. I think British people are more inclined to check the reject slots than Americans, as the loss of a few £1 or £2 coins could make a dent in the weekly budget! Edited by NumisRob

Rarely check, but got .62 Canadian in the reject tray in local Kroger.

On the way home the wife sent me a text asking that I stop and get a couple things at the grocery. I stopped at a store I never have been in before since it was on the way. I found the CoinStar of course and it was loaded! Besides the $2.02 US coins there was a 2011 New Zealand 10 cent coin, a 1998 Canada dime, 1992 French 1 Franc coin and the real prize, a well worn 1938-S Washington quarter.   |

My mom's friend put a bunch of change in a Coinstar machine and it kept spitting out a dime. He looked at it closely and turns out it is a 1956 with no mintmark. It's very shiny and in excellent shape.

I broke a drought the other day with a quarter, a dime and a quarter and dime stuck together with what looks like tar.
