To be honest, I have no idea why someone would throw that away. Maybe they were cleaning out an apartment and simply did not care that these coins are actually worth something. After I showed them to my wife, I was wondering if I should go down again and check if some more coins maybe slid a bit deeper but she didnt want me to search through trash containers :D
Thanks for the links though, I will check all coins. Anyway... bringing away the trash has never been as pleasant as today ;)

Another day, another Canadian dime. Into the Coinstar find box it goes.

Checked several machines Friday a 57 and a 64 Roosy at 2 different machines. I watched a person dump a pile of coins in machine checked the reject tray and then walked away. I walk over and the 57 is sitting on the counter.

I had a handful of random Canadian coins in the bottom of the draw I wanted to clean out. I took them to work this past summer and sent an e-mail to the entire workforce asking, if anyone was going to Canada on vacation. One guy came back and said he was going up to see an NHL hockey game this December. So I gave him the coins.

I went to coinstar at Meijer that is reject tray has 1959 Silver Roosevelt dimes. HAPPY HUNTING!  |

this, this time under the machine! I'm yet to find anything actually in the reject tray... there were also a few clad dimes that had fallen through the holes somehow, but I couldn't reach them as they were in the machine.   |
