Found a Canadian quarter and two pence the other day.

My local grocery CoinStar produced a pile yesterday. Included was a 1989 Canadian dime, a 66 US copper cent and a golf token along with 4 clad dimes, a couple common Jeffs and some Zincolns.
That golf token was the third one I have found there since I moved to the Phoenix area 3 years ago. The area I live in is infested with golf courses (I live on one...) so I guess it is expected to get these.
I will be all set if I ever take up golf...

I found these three Canadian friends just sitting on the Coinstar counter. Now they are home with me (although I don't know exactly what I will do with them).  |

Sunday at the coinstar produced 78 cents in modern change and best of all a 1963 D Roosevelt

Today 2 coinstars produced 5 Chucky Cheese tokens in one the second gave me 65 cents in stuck together clad yuck and a Canadian dime

Oldwormwood, what is on the reverse of the 1867-1992 loonie you found? There were 2 loons that year, the normal swimming loon and The Parliament Building. Both are hard to find up here, especially the normal loon.

I started keeping a log and a jar of everything I find in CS this year. So far, I'm up to about $1.95 in coins between Canadian and American. Along with a few foreign finds. I hit big today though. A lot of junk, but I found two American dimes, dated 1875 and 1898, a 1932 American Quarter, two wheaties (1918, 1928) and a 1964 Canadian dime. I don't know if I'll be able to beat this find this year!   Edited by RainbowMama

Any mintmarks on the last three? I didn't even realize before that the 1898 dime has an S mark. I've never had a seated liberty or a Barber. Both coins are very new to me. |
