You guys are right, considering I usually strike out or find one or two pennies under the machine, anything like that is well above average in my books.

Speaking of Coinstar, I had a really weird dream last night. I was at a grocery store that had three Coinstar machines, and there was a pile of change scattered about in one of them that included a 1964 quarter. Then I saw an older guy dump his change into the other machine without checking the reject bin. I grabbed everything and got 2 Mercury dimes along with some beat up regular change, but the guy somehow teleported back to where I was and demanded I run the rejects through the machine again and bring the cash voucher to the service desk. I tried explaining I was a coin collector and they wouldn't go through but I could give him cash for the coins, but he wasn't listening. I have no clue what came out of that, as I woke up afterwards.

I called it... after two weekends of great finds, it's back to normal here with almost nothing to show for several machines checked at least 10 times between the 4, other than a few pennies scattered about. Am I crazy, or are there other people out there who go to the grocery store armed with a ruler to reach under the machine? I probably wouldn't do this at any of my local stores due to the embarrassment but I would have absolutely no shame in reaching under the machines when I'm away from home!

Never checked one before. My first one at Walmart tonight. Found 7 damaged Lincolns. Walked over to coin-spinner-thingy-unit for collecting change for a charity, and in they went.

Checked on a machine yesterday nothing there. Did some shopping took another look on the way out and two coins were in the reject tray. Needless to say I was quite happy with them.

Congratulations on the silver, cabowabo! I got a 1980-D Lincoln Penny in my local Coinstar reject slot today. Hardly worth reporting, you might think, but this was in England!
