I know many of you will think I'm telling a whopper of a lie, but I swear that this is all true. I went to my bank to ask if I could order a box of halves. A senior teller (Leslie) knew my face and she told me that she would be happy to get them for me. She then said that they ordered on Thursday and got them the following Tuesday. I agreed and told her I would be back then. I know that many of you go through many more boxes than that, but time and cash prevented me from getting more boxes at the same time. I drove to the bank late morning on Tuesday, to get the rolls, but when I got there Leslie told me that I was early and they hadn't gotten their shipment in yet. She then turned to another teller and asked her if she ordered my box. The other teller sheepishly said that she forgot. I disappointedly asked if I could get them next week. The second teller (evidently the keeper of the coins of the realm) told me that she had about thirty eight rolls in the vault and asked if I could use a partial box. I told her sure as long as that didn't cut her short on their needs. She laughed and said that they don't use them and that I would be doing them a favor as she couldn't turn them in until she had a full box. She also told me that the halves had been sitting there for at least three months. The keeper went into the vault and came out with an obviously heavy, but suprisingly small box that said $500 halves. She went to all the tellers and collected all that they had. After rolling and counting, there were 43 rolls total. I thanked her for her extra effort and proceeded home with the partial box. I ran down to my mancave and excitedly opened the first roll to find nothing of consequence. I opened the second roll and began searching through them when I came across a 40% silver and was very happy with that find As I continued searching the roll, I was shocked to find that the rest of the roll was ALL from the late sixties. I couldn't contain myself, and ran upstairs to tell somebody about my fantastic luck. No one was home to tell, but I could tell them later. I returned downstairs to search the rest of the box. After going through them, this was the final result: 1 '64 Kennedy, 2 no fg error coins ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FOUR 40% silver. All this because the bank teller forgot to order my box!! I made more that day than I EVER made in a day at work. Because I know you are skeptical, I have attached a photo. Edited by Mister Tom 09/09/2012 8:17 pm

Nice find! I believe it; I've found old rolls like that recently. They yielded 53 40% and 16 90% in six rolls.
