http://www.ebay.com/itm/14084998366....m1423.l2648"2x100 grams gold Credit Suisse 9995" it's actually platinum and the fact that 200 grams of platinum spot is 10,469.45$ and it sold for 7400$ but the seller has 0% feedback, I don't know, the fact it went for 3000$ under spot worries me.

Wow - interesting - I probably wouldn't buy from a guy with 0 history AND being international.
Item location: Flen, Södermanland, Sweden

If I was starting out on ebay I would not jump into the deep end so soon selling Gold or Platinum, especially with ZERO feedback.

I believe I would use allot of caution when dealing with a high dollar item like this from a new seller. I would also use caution with a seller that has quite a few feedback but has been dormant for a year or never sold this type of high value item before. I am guessing the buyer is counting on the buyer protection kicking in if there is a problem but if you went and drilled into the bar the seller could easily say that you placed the slab of metal inside the bar yourself. The serial numbers would still match the ones you could prove you purchased on ebay but you have altered them in a way that you could have done the fabrication yourself and not sure how ebay would handle that

In cases like this, go with the gut. Any deal that looks too good to be true probably is.

Its possible they got them a while ago cheaper, but I would have stayed away. Rather odd for a first sale to be for a few thousand dollars and I'm always suspicious of sales from over seas.

Sometime back I tried to BUY some bullion from ebay with zero feedback. The seller refused to sell. And people actually buy from zero feedback seller! Not worth it in my opinion.

nothing but bad experiences, I started by selling little things like large cents and silver quarters until I hit my 100 positive feedbacks then I started selling bullion

I bought some old silver coins from an overseas seller not realizing the seller is overseas. The expected delivery date was 40 days after auction end which I failed to notice. My mistake. Now it has been more than a month and I haven't got the coins. And the seller has not even marked coins as shipped or given me some tracking information. I have sent a few mails asking the seller if he can confirm he has shipped the coins. No reply. And I cannot do anything till the expected delivery date has gone by. Really frustrating. As a rule, I generally avoid overseas sellers unless seller is in Canada or I am getting a really good deal.

I buy some computer parts from China (like adapters to hook up laptop cd-rom to desktop computer and stuff like this) and it always takes at least 30 days sometimes quite a bit longer. the longest was 60 days after purchase but I know this when I purchase the items so I never do it with anything I need right away and only do it because they are allot cheaper. I hate to put every seller from a specific country in the same category but when it comes to coins or anything numismatic I avoid those sellers just because its not worth the risk to me. I know not everyone in China deals in counterfeit coins but there is so many that do it makes it such a big risk that its just not worth it to me to even gamble to see if they are legit or not
