Last year I was disappointed, but used the situation as a learning experience to probe the mint and how they really work. I even probed the mint's director himself by sending a letter to him through my state rep to see how much time the director would actually give a customer. I figured the director's amount of mail each day would likely mean he would miss a personal letter. But I thought a letter from my state rep would definitely catch his attention. Basically the director's response showed me even a state rep's letter gets no attention since the answer received only addressed the first issue mentioned in the letter (it appeared the director skimmed the first sentence or so and that was all). Why did I go to all this "trouble?" I wdid not fee like I was (HA! FINALLY got a context to use this emoticon on ) I have all the time in the world so it gave me something to do - no trouble at all; the info gleaned gave me some insight to share with CCF; it was a game to me by that time The info gleaned definitely helped me cut through some red tape this time. I am not sure it will ultimately do any good - but it was still kind of enjoyable cutting through some of the system. How much squash could a Sasquatch squash if a Sasquatch would squash squash? I believe I told you the same thing last year when you had this problem. When you order the CC information is attached to the order and when it is processed for shipping they bill the CC using the information that was current on the card when the order was placed. Updating you card online merely changes the information used for future purchases it does NOT go back and update the information stored with previously placed orders. For that you MUST contact customer Service and have them go into each order and update the information. This topic has been discussed for many years because people keep having this problem. Sometimes on items that they know are going to be on hold for a long time before they are processes the mint will even warn you to make sure that your card will not expire before the orders are processed because your order will be cancelled when it tries to process and can't. I believe they also warn you of the same thing when you place a subscription order. I will agree though that they should make it a lot clearer that updated information does not update open unprocessed orders and that you should contact CS to have them update those orders. But, of course, since I was assured quite a few times last year that the entire computer system was being overhauled for 2012 to alleviate the problems (granted it was not a CC issue last year) - I admit I was expecting more. Is this verification the same as when, last year, the website verified my order and later cancelled it? Will the order have all my sets? Will the sets be new items like I was told they would be and not returned rejects? Will all the coins be present? Will we ever know how many licks it takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a a Tootsie Pop? BTW - amazing! Each ASE seems to be an absolutely beautiful specimen and I can find nothing wrong with any of them! I want to *THANK* all of my CCF family for their moral support and say a special to those who again showed what great people are here by offering me their extra sets if mine did not come in.
