http://www.ebay.com/itm/210-Lincoln...em3ccb6728d5Ends Saturday, but it seems like if it doesn't go too high, I could fill a couple holes in my penny book, especially indian head pennies, plus some wheats in the teens. But...based on your experience, how high do you think this lot will go? no, not good condition coins, but still, could get something in there. I'm planning on seeing how high it goes and bidding on it. Do you think there will be a reserve? Thanks!

The seller is being honest about what they're selling. "They will range from VG/Fine to awful." And no, there won't be a reserve.

In spite of what the seller may claim I'm sure that he has gone through these coins and removed those of any value. These look like nothing but junk and I wouldn't waste my money on them. But if you are looking for fillers in any condition, and the price is right, go for it.

There is no reserve and my guess is it will sell for around $10 plus shipping. At least the guy didn't roll them up with the Indians on the end and say he doesn't know whats in there. Good luck

LOL upstate, then I would've just ignored em :) Thanks guys! looked in my coin book, and WOW is there a lot of old wheats pennies that I haven't put in there yet. I was quite surprised actually...I knew I had finished a couple books of pennies, but I think I finished pretty much from 1941 on. I have a bit of filling to do! I'll probably see how high it goes, and bid on them for fillers...if I'm going to buy a coin that's actually worth some money, I'd have a good container for it, but I'd just be putting these in penny books.

If you can get it for less than $10 and it fills a bunch of holes, why not. The seller is being very honest: Quote: I'm starting the bidding at their face value. Remember, these are CULLS!!

If you have a local coin shop you can trust - see if they can help. They probably have extra rolls of mixed cents and there would be no shipping costs.

Yes, I do have a good place around here, very good place. I was actually going to try to get in touch with them to see if I get buy bulk wheats from them. They have Indians out for $2 each, of course, not best condition, but good fillers. I'll have to stop there for a while sometime.

Personally, seeing the pictures and the description "CULLS", my recommendation to you is NO. My best suggestion to you: You can get the best bang for your buck by having 50 quality post and put a want list on here. The coins in that pile is pretty much either common or culls. You can usually get a mixed bag of Wheat cent for 3 to 5 cent each if you buy 100 of them or so... Many members on here have plenty of wheat/IHC that can help you fill a lot of holes. I personally have a pile of low value coin (common teen & twenties & thirties in low grade) that I don't bother to list but willing to let go anytime.... Indian cent @ $2/ea (probably common date, low grade) is fair price but not cheap (I can do better than that).
