This guy is making a killing, do people just trust anything an auction says? If you list it as small date then it must be? http://www.ebay.com/sch/indexfactor...047675.l2562He had one already sell for $66. Are these all large dates like I suspect, or am I bad with lincoln varieties and I am all wrong?

The photos aren't that good--but they all look like LDs to me.

The photos are plenty good enough to be conclusive - there's not a Small Date in the bunch.

I agree, the photos are good enough to tell that none are small dates. The curve in the nine points to the MM and liberty is entirely to strong.

I know this topic comes up often cause this happens so often on ebay. But I bet some of these people will leave positive feedback because they cant tell the difference :/ So many large dates get sold as small dates. Funny how the other way around rarely ever happens.

Been going on for a while on ebay. They don't do anything about it.

Most of the small date 60P and 70S coins are incorrectly identified by the sellers on ebay. If you don't know what you're looking at and the pictures don't let you tell....STAY AWAY.

Yeah I notice this a lot. I noticed a lot of the fixed price ones are usually small dates. The ones that start off at 99 cents in an auction are often times not really a small date. This obviously isn't all the time, but this is a trend I noticed.

I have even seen PCGS coins label Small Dates when they were Large Dates. I always look for coins slabbed or described as Large Dates but were mislabeled and were actually Small Dates....funny how no one makes the mistake the opposite way....

I find this variety very hard to detect sometimes. But I'm quite sure many (or all) of those are large dates. Very sad that those people are getting ripped off. Hope they figured it out and get their money back.

It's probably JoeTurbo trying to sell off all the LD's he bought trying to get a smallie, lol.

At first I thought it was hard to tell but now it seems easy. If I am looking at one and it kind of looks like a small date but I'm not sure, then it's a large date. Once you see the actual small date it is obvious. Well to me at least. Quote: It's probably JoeTurbo trying to sell off all the LD's he bought trying to get a smallie, lol. lol. Hey that's a good way to make a living too, if you don't mind ripping people off :/ seems like people just trust sellers.
