Makes your heart jump a little when you see the wheat.

I just love getting a box of pennies from the bank and see a couple wheat cents on the end.

Whenever I find a old guy like this I'm always happy and set them aside in a 2x2. Numismedia rates a 1919 specimen at $.17 for G4 (read cull or thereabouts) to $12 for MS60. Either way it's a keeper.

Thanks for posting a pic of this little beauty. Looking forward to seeing a pic of the reverse.

There were 392,021,000 of these minted 93 years ago! It's a keeper.

1919 was a big penny producing year for the mint and kept that mintage record for over 20 years

found a 19 just sitting in a change return tray by itself at self service checkout at the grocery store earlier this year. Definitely a slick, worn coin, but it was happy to be rescued and to go to a nice home.

Anyone want to offer a grade on that 19 up top?
