if there are any PMs for me, I bought them since my family doesn't really know PMs or coins. My PM/coin xmas presents to myself are in the mail.

Well, the good news is that the silver order I placed last week arrived at my P.O. Box yesterday afternoon just in time for Christmas. The bad news, though, is that the post office closed early and I wasn't able to actually pick them up...

It wouldn't hurt to check if soemone is there this morning. My dad was a Postal Carrier for 30 years and he and another guy would always go in on Christmas Morning to deliver the packages that had come in late the day before.

I got some "Christmas PM" yesterday but my big APMEX order is still on the way and hopefully I'll have it in time for a "New Year's PMs" thread :)

parent's didn't know what "silver" to get me and I'm at that age where gifts are hard to buy for, so being divorced they give me 200$ each and my sister gave me 100$. 500$ towards silver and coins :)

My grandpa still likes to spoil his 25 year old grandson/live-at-home assistant/ranch hand, so I too have $500 to play with.

All right, I was able to pick up my Christmas Silver purchase today. Turns out the post office closed at 12:00 Noon on the day before Christmas... I got 2 25-coin rolls of Canadian Silver Maples, 10 Chinese Silver Pandas, and 1 100-ounce JM silver bar: The JM bar is unlike anything I have ever seen before in my admittedly short time purchasing JM bars. It has a truly amazing patina, and a little research tells me that this is a "stamped" bar and that relatively few were made in the mid 1980s. Apparently they are highly sought after by some collectors, but I'm not sure whether this one would actually bring much of a premium on the secondary market without the original cardboard box. It sure is beautiful, though! Here are some close-up shots if anybody is interested:
