Hello we'll I will be attending the fun show in Orlando and will have $200 that I can spend which brings me to my question what should I buy? I collect almost everything except for ancients so that won't be something for me, I would like to hear what everyone thinks I should buy. One coin or many? Thank you all

Anything silver. I also enjoy searching the junk bins for very old coins like the British cartwheel pennies.

land a handful of VG Barber quarters for the first $50 move onto a nice XF common date Seated quarter or a couple of XF Seated dimes with the next $100 finish off with a handful mix of Buffalo nickels, Liberty nickels in VF and a couple of VG/VF common date Barber dimes$200 can stretch a long way at a show with that many booths to browse...you could nab 15 nice coins of a variety of denomination and type have a blast

Ok I was originally thinking of getting just silver coins but I might get other things also, I might do as dsfreeworld said and go that route

Of course at a show that big, there will be temptation everywhere! My best advice is to leave the money in the car or hotel for the first day (if going multiple days) or the first few hours (if going for one day). Don't burn it too quick... there will be alot to see.

I'm somewhat new at this but I would try and buy a morgan/ quarter lot at auction for around melt. Try to resell and make 30-40 bucks and then go. I'm a type coin guy myself I'd try for A VF 3 cent silver, an XF mid-level Commemorative, a good date Liberty nickels and maybe a F Half Cent.

Silver walkers and morgans would be your best bet.

Buying a Franklin in good condition is always nice too.

I would buy a small gold coin for that if I could, if not some silver coins would be good. The best thing about them is that if the silver value plummets, you still have the numismatic value. Better date coins are also good and always sell fast if you want to sell them ever.

Ok I have thought about it and I think I'm going to try to trade 50 silver certificates for a bust half try to get a Oregon trail commemorative, get a colonial from vermontensium, and try to get a bunch of random silver coins at or below spot price. Is there anything else that is a must have.
