Poll Question
Just wondering if you still find them because I've searched through two boxes of pennies and found none.

Poll Choices
Yes! I find them every ten rolls or so!
Sometimes. About one per 1-3 boxes.
Nope. I find one every 4+ boxes.
What are king george the 5th pennies?

I have found 7 KGV pennies in 26 boxes of pennies (1929, 1932, 1934, 1935, 1936 x3), but these have come from only 2 boxes (one box had 6). Over the holidays I added the 1935 penny in what was otherwise quite a below average box (2 KGVI and 1 US Wheat). So my average finds per box is about 1 in 4, but only 1 in 13 boxes have actually contained KGV pennies. They are still out there to be found, for sure. I wish I could arrange something with my local branch to still get boxes to search after February 4.

I don't roll hunt, but manage to find three or four a year in pocket change.

My wife works in a restaurant and does much better, maybe 15 to 20 a year. She also still finds silver, some that has had to have gone missing from some Dad's sock drawer.

I have only found roughly 5 total since CRH 1 1/2 years ago. And 4 of them were in a single roll with wheats, Indians, a blank planchett.

I live in the Central US, and surprisingly I still find one on occasion. I search $50-$75 per week in cents.
