I received an inquiry through
ebay's system from a woman named Maryjo who was looking at a roll of date-restored
Buffalo nickels I'm selling. The listing CLEARLY states that all the nickels are mint-marked and that every date between 1913 and 1929 is included, with the possible exception of 1921. Here's how the conversation went:
Dear buffaloreincarnations,I dont understant, are these coin rolls either an D or an S?. Are the dates on the front side of the coins.Maryjo
Dear 909maryjo,Buffalo Nickels were minted with BOTH S and D mint marks. This roll contains some with S and some with D. Saying that another way, every nickel in the roll will have either a D or an S on it. The dates are on the front - the side with the Indian's face on it. I hope this helps!!- buffaloreincarnations
Dear buffaloreincarnations,Is their a guarantee of dates, or is it just random dates?Maryjo- 909maryjo
Dear 909maryjo,Do you have any familiarity with
Buffalo nickels? Have you thoroughly read my description? The description spells out very plainly which dates you can expect to receive. I appreciate your interest, but the fact that you asked which side of the coin the date is on tells me that you are not very familiar with these coins. Perhaps you should not bid on them until you are more familiar with the whole Buffalo series...?- buffaloreincarnations
Dear buffaloreincarnations,I did not ask you which side of the coin a date is found. I asked you, and let me restate myself, is it a definate of the dates listed or are the rolls filled with random dates. And yes, ususally when a seller starts lying about stupid things, I usually "flip them off" and have nothing to do with them. So, thank you for trying to be nice, but I can tell that you dont want my business. Thus, I will not bidd on any of your items ever.Maryjo- 909maryjo
Maryjo now resides on my list of blocked bidders. A review of the feedback she has left for other sellers tells me that's where she belongs!
